On Tuesday September 16th, at 7:00 the Napa Valley Meditation Group will host a talk by mindfulness instructor Art Jolly on the Four Ways of Establishing Awareness.
Art began meditating in the early 1990s, and later spent five months as a monk in Burma. He completed Spirit Rock’s Dedicated Practitioner and Community Dharma Leader Programs and has trained in Somatic Experiencing. In 2003 he spent five months as a monk in Burma. He leads a Monday evening group in the East Bay, and also teaches at Marin Sangha and East Bay Meditation Center.
The meeting will generally flow as follows:
- 6:40 Doors Open
- 7:00 pm Meditation Sitting Begins
- Sitting meditation: 30 minutes
- Short break for tea and greetings: 15 minutes
- Dharma talk by Art: 45 minutes
- 8:30 pm Meeting Ends
