500 S. Columbus Drive, Chicago, IL
Let's take an afternoon photo walk up Michigan Avenue. We'll start by meeting at the Buckingham Fountain and walking up through Millennium Park, stopping by the Bean and then heading up Michigan Ave to the John Hancock Building. This this route is about a 2 mile long walk. (We can also walk back down State Street as well if people are up to it. This will probably add about another mile to the walk.)
We can also walk over and visit the Macy's Christmas Tree display. (I am not able to get a reservation for the event date, but we should be able to go up to one of the top floors and take turns shooting through the metal gates they have that overlook the dining room.)
I have put a limit of 20 people for this event to keep the group footprint smaller. (If a wait-list forms, I will create a second photo walk for those won't didn't get in.) I have also put an RSVP cut-off date of December 15 at noon (that way, if there is a wait-list and someone drops out, this will give those on the wait-list enough time to respond).
There is no official end time, as people are free to leave whenever they want. I estimate that the walk will take at least 2-3 hours with stops and breaks. We can also check out some other areas, and maybe find a place for some lunch either during or after the walk if people wish to do so. The end time is only an estimate.
I will post more information as I work on the details.
