It was both a good speaker and a good crowd. Ditto to all the positive remaks on Rob as the presenter. But also as a photo newbie I thought our members asked some inciteful questions.
I'm looking forward to diving into some Adobe applications during the Holiday lull. Hopefully I'll have had a smattering of InDesgn before the January meeting. Happy Holidays Everybody!

At the Monday NAUG meeting, Rob Sylvan mentioned how much he admires the communication skills of Adobe Evangelist Julianne Kost. Here is a link to her free Adobe training videos for many of the Adobe applications.

Rob Sylvan's presentation on Monday evening was excellent. All the attendees, including me, were clearly hungry to learn more about Lightroom 5. He certainly clarified many questions I had about the Import module and how to create a catalog.

For those of you who want to learn more about the Develop module in Lightroom, X-Rite is giving a one-hour webinar on Thursday Dec 19 at 1 p.m. titled "Processing and Printing Landscape Images with Lightroom 5." These X-Rite webinars are free, and very useful. Even if you can't watch the webinar in real-time, sign up for it anyway to get an emailed link to the final presentation. Here's the link for registration.

Thank you to all who contributed generously to cover the cost for Robs' fantastic presentation on Monday night. From the feedback it seems unanimous that everyone took away valuable information and would like to have Rob speak again. Although we were short on the collection that won't get in our way of inviting Rob back. We'll do what our cohort user groups do and ask people to pay in advance. Thanks again to you all for your interest and support!

I think it's a good idea to pay in advance or at least give advance notice of a cost. I apologize that I had no cash on me Monday night after feeding my last dollar to the meter -- embarrased :(

No Worries Kathy! We are evolving as a group and there are tools like event brite to cover expenses in advance. Much more efficient that way. : ) Thanks for joining us last night.

Very good, He knows the app, and how people get mixed up with it so spent time on the basics to make the app become more intuitive

I agree, Rob gave a superb presentation which covered the one most import aspects and strengths of Lightroom which is the data base. I held off most of my questions in order for Rob to complete his presentation. But many others had questions that were important to be addressed which Rob clearly answered before we ran out to time w/the library hours. We could have gone on for at least another hour.

I have been an active user Lightroom since version 2. I learned several new things as well as some that I have probably already forgot.

It would be great if Rob could come back for a future meeting as dive into the photo editing that Lightroom which is why most people like to use it.

Subject matter expert Rob Sylvan's presentation on Lr 5 was terrific. This demonstration had valuable information for beginners and advanced Lr users.

Excellent. He taught me things about Lightroom that I never new, and that was just in the library panel. We should try to get him back for another class in editing.
