»Christus ist auferstanden! Er ist wahrhaftig auferstanden!« Mit diesen Worten beginnt die Osterzeiten an in allen deutschsprachigen Ländern. Dieses Jahr beginnt die Osterzeit auch so in Nashville.
On Easter Sunday McKendree United Methodist Church (http://mckendreetoday.com), the oldest Methodist church in Tennessee, invites you to take part in a German-language Easter service. The entire service will be in German and people of all traditions and backgrounds are invited. Michael Arnold, leader of the Metro Nashville German Meetup group and student at Vanderbilt Divinity School, will deliver a sermon in German and lead the congregation in German Easter hymns and liturgy. Childcare will be provided for those with small children.
McKendree UMC is located in downtown Nashville at 523 Church Street. The McKendree Parking Center Garage is located on 6th Ave. North (on Left-hand side) and is free on Sunday morning. The entrance to the church is located on the 4th Floor of the garage (Johnny Cash/purple level).
Once you enter the church from the garage you will see signs leading you downstairs to the chapel. If you get lost or have questions, please ask anyone you see where the chapel is and they'll show you how to get there.
We hope to see you on Easter Sunday, April 20th 2014 at 9 o'clock in the chapel at McKendree UMC!
»Die Gnade unseres Herrn Jesus Christus und die Liebe Gottes und die Gemeinschaft des Heiligen Geistes sei mit euch allen.«
