The Mindfulness Support Group @ Vanderbilt is a continuation of Mindfulness-based Stress Reduction (MBSR) practices and for all those interested in deepening their daily personal mindfulness practice. There is NO requirement that you have previously attended an MBSR Course to join and become part of our mindfulness community.
Succinctly in our one-hour together, we SIT (guided meditation), we MOVE (gentle yoga stretch, qigong, and tai chi) and we TALK (mindfulness education through readings, talks, & conversations) with one another. The essence of our time together is the culmination of ALL 3, not necessarily always in the above particular order, but always rich with moments of clarity, expression, movement, and stillness.
There is secure parking once entering the rear of 3401 West End. You DO NOT have to take a parking ticket from the machine since the guard will be off-duty.
