Winter solstice marks the shortest day and longest night of the year. Celebrate the celestial change with Natural Lands Trust staff and volunteers at our spectacular Stroud Preserve. Bundle up for a lantern-lit walk, then gather ’round a crackling campfire to enjoy hot beverages and treats to warm chilly fingers and toes.

Natural Lands Trust’s Stroud Preserve consists of 571 acres of culturally and ecologically important land in Chester County. This rolling mosaic of grasslands, woodlands, and working farmlands provides important habitat and resources for myriad birds and animals, and is a recreation refuge for people.
Dress warmly for a winter evening, and wear sturdy shoes for walking on uneven trails in the dark. Bring a flashlight, but use it sparingly. No pets, please.
