What we're about

This is a group organized by members of the North American Nature Photography Association (NANPA) for people interested in nature and and nature photography in Western North Carolina. We will meet at least once per month to talk about nature photography or to go on photographic outings. Join us to learn about the basics of nature photography or to take your current skills to a new level. You don't have to be a member of NANPA ( http://www.nanpa.org ) to join this group - we welcome photographers of all levels and experience.

Follow NANPA on Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/pages/NANPA/122990672633?ref=hl).

By joining the NANPA Nature Photography Group of Western North Carolina, I am also agreeing to the terms of the following release and waiver of liability, which shall be binding on my heirs, executors, administrators, successors, and assigns. NANPA February Meeting - Reflections

River Ridge Apartments Clubhouse

We will be meeting on the 2nd Wednesday, February 13th, at 6:30 PM in the River Ridge Clubhouse. The theme for the month's member image review is Reflections. In addition to our normal reviews, Jada Moonstone has agreed to share a number of "Winter" images from this winter's storm. Please bring 3 to 5 images to share with the group. Images for this meeting's theme are preferred but any nature subject is fine. We also prefer that photos be recent shots. We are encouraging everyone to get out and take pictures. We will conduct a positive reinforcement critique of these images. Images should be copied to a Jump drive as JPEGs. Please keep the size under 3M each or 1500 pixels on the longer side. Thanks. In addition to the theme image viewing if time and interest allow I'll be glad to share my presentation on shooting Panoramas for those who missed it at the January CNPA meeting. Please think about what you might want to share with the group at a future meeting. Maybe a portfolio project you are working on, a Tech Tip, or a software package you use. Let me know and I'll include it in a monthly meeting. A notice regarding a Saturday photo shoot will be issued soon, in time to capture some Reflections before the month meeting. I am researching the Flat Rock area for this and will let you know details. More to follow. I hope to see you all there, bring a friend. Enjoy. By sending in an RSVP and joining this meetup event hosted by the NANPA Nature Photography Group of Western North Carolina, I am also agreeing to the terms of the following release and waiver of liability, which shall be binding on my heirs, executors, administrators, successors, and assigns. In consideration of my (my child’s) participation in NANPA Nature Photography Group of Western North Carolina, I do hereby release, discharge, and hold harmless the North American Nature Photography Association, its members, officers, directors, and employees and the leader(s) of this event from any and all liability by reason of any damage, loss, expenses, or injury arising from my (my child’s) participation in this event, including that caused solely or in part by the fault, including but not limited to negligence, gross negligence and recklessness, of the above-named parties.
