Anyone living in Union Park, Macalester Groveland or Highland park or adjacent neighborhoods are welcome to attend. Simply, Neighbors Meeting Neighbors events are intended to build relationships and community. Interest groups have formed from our past quarterly meet-ups and are continually expanded and added. If you know of an existing group meeting within the neighborhood, message the organizers to have the event added.
Every Saturday at 10:00 AM (weather permitting—we don’t walk when its excessively icy or colder than 10˚).
We gather in the lobby area of Oxford Square on Grand Ave. (between Starbucks and CVS).
We walk a circular 5-mile path around the neighborhood and back to the starting point. There are two sets of stairs in the walk. The current group walks at a pace of about a 15-minute mile but we would love to help people join us and walk at whatever pace works for you. We often meet for coffee after the walk.
Interested in joining our group? Email Julie Roles at [masked].
Join us as we gather on the slopes of the Minnesota River Valley to explore what the birds are telling us about our surroundings. We will split the time between the classroom and outdoors. Bring a notebook, pencils, and something to sit on outdoors.
