Hi Ebo,

I have two recommendations for you - both very good, but you can choose depending on which side of town you are on.

On the west side (on Pico just off the Bundy exit in Santa Monica) is the wonderful establishment of McCabe's - the legendary acoustic music store where they also give lessons and have great concerts. http://www.mccabes.com/

On the east side of town is South Pasadena Music Center and Conservatory - a lovely small storefront that has wonderful teachers of a variety of styles.  http://southpasadenamusic.com/

Hi,

Looking 4 guitar lessons.  I'm new to this meetup, but was wondering if anyone knows of any reasonably priced beginner adult guitar lessons offered in L.A.?  I was taking lessons in NY (http://www.nycguitarschool.com/) before I moved here for a few months and stopped once I moved here because I couldn't really find anything comparable (reasonably priced, and in a school where you progress in classes by levels).  They offered adult classes in the evening at every conceivable level.  They had 5 max students in the classes and classes were offered once a week for an hour, very warm, very friendly, very welcoming for beginners and pros alike.  You pay for each level, which was about 10 1 hour classes for $250 when I was taking them, but now the price is up to $319.  Anyhow, I'm looking for something comparable in L.A.  I'm not interested in private lessons, mostly because they can be pricey, but also because they don't offer the satisfactory guarantees, the
professionalism and security that come with dealing with an institution/business.

Does anyone know of any comparable classes out here?  I would greatly appreciate your help!

Thanks!

Ebo(ny)
