After a brief hiatus, Nerd HQ's weekly Dinner & Death event is back! Come out and join Nerd HQ in a family style dinner were geeky conservation is the norm. After dinner we will put the dinner table away and settle in for some nice after dinner death filled television viewing.
In a three-part mini series, the BBC show "in The Flesh" focuses on re-animated teenager Kieren Walker as he reintegrates into the community of a small fictional English Village. The zombies, now referred as partially deceased syndrome patients (PDS) by the government, must maintain a strict regiment of medication to avoid going "rabid" again. Many are haunted by visions of atrocities they committed while in their rabid state have trouble fitting into the small extremist village.
Starting the evening out with a little bit a random geeky chatter, this event is scheduled to start at 5:15 to allow people time to arrive, get settled, and have some chit-chat before dinner starts at approximately 6:00pm.
After dinner is finished, we will start part 1 of "In the Flesh" (approximately 7:00pm) Please note that it is not necessary to participate in both dinner and the show, feel free to come out to only one part of the event or the other.
If you plan on attending, please make sure you RSVP for this event as it helps Nerd HQ in the planning of dinner.
There is no cost for the event itself, but there is a cost for the dinner (usually around $10+tax) should you wish to have one. If you are not interested in watching the show after dinner, there are usually a few people that could be convinced to play board games after dinner quietly in the corner.
