A forum for discussing the books that interest us: science, fiction, and other things that drive us to think. If you sometimes like to learn, sometimes like to escape; if you know the difference between DNA (the molecule) and DNA (the author); if you're bully on blockchain and Appendix N all while having a tasty adult beverage or three; then this is the book club for you. (Note: the comma between science and fiction is intentional; despite this slightly skewed intro, all thought-provoking fiction is fair game.)
This month's book, selected by group member Austin, is The Three-Body Problem by Chinese author Liu Cixin. Hugo award winner (2015) and a book that Barack Obama described as "wildly imaginative, really interesting." Grab, rent, borrow it now. Hope to see you on the 28th!
(As before, I'll update the invite when I have a better idea of how many to expect and find a suitable place for us to meet. Thinking around South Lamar / St. Edwards area this time. Open to suggestions.)
