The public is welcome to join the New England Stoics for a free painted-porch-like discussion of Stoic logic. We plan to meet in the beautiful Boston Public Garden and have a discussion about philosophy like they used to do in 300 BC Athens.

This meeting's topic will be logic, which is one of the three topoi (topics, or fields of study). We expect to cover all three more in future meetings, including ethics — which we've already discussed in some detail — and physics.

Feel free to bring an umbrella even if it's sunny out, if you want to practice doing things that contradict norms (like our ancient Cynic philosophical kin did) to remind ourselves that virtue/excellence are the only true good, by walking around in the sunshine with an umbrella for a laugh.

If it's rainy you can carry an umbrella anyway!
