I'm brand new to hosting, so give me a few days to figure out the mechanics.
Meetup asked me if I wanted to take over a Meetup group that was shutting down; I did.
I feel bad now that I know it was in Evanston, so I'll do my best to create/keep events as Northerly as possible. Below is what the last person that made this group wrote (bottom-bottom in itallics).
I'll update soon-esque and see if I can handle being a creator/host.
Are you interested in exploring new board games without feeling a little left behind? If you're fond of puzzling out new challenges and applying your game theory skills at a friendly table, look no further!
I'm aim to make a group of dedicated tabletop enthusiasts to play through new and curated board games on bi-weekly basis. We'll be playing award winning and well reviewed titles that have as little exposure to the group as possible. If you're interested in trying to expand your library of games or just enjoy working out solutions to new mechanics, please join us.
Mature, respectful play always makes for the best experience, and we couldn't ask for a better way to meet new people! All ages and skill levels are welcome.
We meet at the Evanston Games and Cafe, 1610 Maple Ave. Yummy sandwiches and drinks are available for purchase all night.
