East Rock Festival

This year’s Street Festival in East Rock will kick off at 11 A.M. and end at 8 P.M. The festival entertainment will be live music, dancing acts, and much more. There will be two stages on either end of the festival, so there will be constant entertainment. The food vendors will highlight the best restaurants and eateries in the East Rock area. There will be canopies where attendees can enjoy their food and soak in the atmosphere. There will also be children’s games, face-painting, and other children activities.

The festival is FREE! and open to the public. Please come down and enjoy what the East Rock community has to offer.

Mission:
The Mission of the East Rock Festival is to showcase the East Rock community and its surrounding businesses in an effort to promote community participation and organization.

Location:
The East Rock Festival takes place on Orange Street in New Haven between Willow Street and Cottage Street.

The East Rock Festival is one of the largest organized events in the East Rock area. At previous festivals, we attracted over 3500 people and had over 25 sponsors. This year we are predicting more people and more vendors. The festival will be on Saturday, Sept 21, 2013.

Agreed - hope we see each other again. Joe - when I search on casual biking, I don't get a meetup group for 'casual biking'...is it a subgroup of another? Would really like to join...

Just to clear up any confusion... this festival takes place on Orange St between Cottage & Willow Streets. BUT ... We are meeting at the corner of Orange & Linden St which is Romeo & Cesar's Gourment Foods store. 10:45 is the meeting time. Keep in mind Orange st will be blocked off so park on the side streets if you're driving.

My cell is[masked] before 1 pm only.

For the East Rock Fest, I'll set the meeting time at 10:45 am at Romeo & Cesars (corner of Orange St & Linden St). We can have a coffee or tea outside on the patio and then figure out where to go next. Around noon, maybe we can get some lunch.

If you're not planning to meet at 10:45, feel free to enjoy the day on your own or bring a friend with you. If you arrive late, you can text me up until 1 pm but after that I'll be doing some volunteer work at the festival and will not be able to take texts or calls. hey everyone, looks good for the east rock fest this Saturday. I'm thinking we should meet around 11 am at Romeo & Cesars? Then figure out where to go next. I know there will be a lot of vendors to see and music going on but I'm not sure about the whole day's schedule.

Would 11 am be a good time to meet? Or how about 10:45?

Are we really planning a meetup or is this just announcing that the fest is happening?
