This is an ongoing Spring series of yoga classes in May and June. The class is fairly fast-paced and covers basic to intermediate level movements including a modified headstand, shoulder stand and modified back bend. You must be in moderate-good physical condition.
There is also a 30 minute period of meditation with gentle postures.... This is a time to practice breathwork which will bring in a greater amount of energy while totally relaxing and de-stressing the body.
Location: Mitchell Library Program Room, 10:15-11:45 am. (Arrive as early as 10 am to set up and practice a few minutes of mediation before class.)
Cost is $5 per person. Please pay at the front desk & bring your own mat, blanket or large towel. Tea is served at the end of class with optional group discussion until 12 pm on practice techniques.
If it's warm weather, we may spend some time practicing outside on the library lawn under shade trees.
