What we're about

Thanks for joining! Crush is a brand new social sports & games league for adults to meet new people and have fun playing sports, games and other activities. After every game is a happy hour at a nearby bar with food and drink discounts for all members! We currently have weekly slow pitch softball and kickball games in Ocean County and a sand volleyball league in Middlesex County. We will be adding activities throughout New Jersey (outdoors, indoors and at local bars, organized leagues and individual meetups).

Feel free to contact me if you have any requests or fill out a short survey (https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdfSdiG80k-Jr0et-E8z_JsymSL_4WsPSCa-ekN9JnunBhaNg/viewform) so I know what you're interested in and where you're coming from.

Thanks again, and I look forward to meeting you!

Ocean County Pickup Kickball (Sunday Mornings)

Patriot's Park

This will be a weekly event if there's enough interest. The games will be Sunday mornings from 10am until 1pm (or until we get bored or tired) then go out for drinks. If we get enough people, I will work on getting discounts for the group at a nearby bar. Try to get there as early as possible so we can create teams. I also have fields in Lakewood if too many people sign up or we ever just need a change of scenery. Please register on the website (http://www.crushsocialsports.com/leagues) beforehand because I'm required to have everyone sign a waiver for insurance purposes in order to reserve the fields. Feel free to bring friends (21 and over), but please have them register before they play also. It only has to be done once, not every game. But please RSVP on here at least a day in advance so I know how many people are coming. If there isn't enough interest, there won't be any games that week. If there aren't enough people, we will also have a slow pitch softball game on one of the other fields, so you can play that instead. Depending on how many people show up, you can choose to play either one. (There's plenty of room at the park so we can also add other activities like horseshoes, cornhole or dodgeball.) I'm going to try to keep the games free, but feel free to donate a few dollars to cover the costs of the fields, insurance, equipment, etc. If we get a consistent number of people showing up, I'll hire umpires. We can also maybe cook out at the park. To register or more details: http://www.crushsocialsports.com/leagues

Ocean County Multi-Sport Meetup (Sunday Mornings)

Patriot's Park

I currently have softball and kickball games scheduled on Sunday mornings so I was thinking of adding other activities since we already have the parks and there's plenty of room. This way there will be multiple activities to choose from. I was thinking of things like horseshoes, cornhole or dodgeball, but I'm open to suggestions. We can also play bar games afterwards (or, instead, if the weather is bad or there aren't enough people for an organized sport). This will be a weekly event if there's enough interest. I also have fields in Lakewood if too many people sign up or we ever just need a change of scenery. There's not a registration page for this on the website, but please register as a sub (http://www.crushsocialsports.com/leagues/other/626742) beforehand because I'm required to have everyone sign a waiver for insurance purposes in order to reserve the fields. Feel free to bring friends (21 and over), but please have them register before they play also. It only has to be done once, not every game. Middlesex County Sand Volleyball League (Tuesdays)

Thompson Park

$10.00

We will meet every Tuesday night at 6:00pm on the sand volleyball courts in Thompson Park (right next to Lake Manalapan). We changed it from an 8 week season to weekly pickup games. We will play until it gets dark, so it's ok if you show up later. Cost: Since the original members already helped cover the price of the courts ($400), I'm asking walk-ons to contribute $10 per game. This is not mandatory, but there were additional costs for insurance, equipment, etc. (approx. $500) and I don't feel right penalizing people for signing up early, especially since it's thanks to them that we were able to secure the courts. If you think you will be there every week, you can also pay $50 for unlimited games (the amount the original members paid for the season). We have the court reserved until November 14, so we'll play as long as it's warm/light enough out. Age/Skill Level: So far, the age and skill levels vary widely. So don't worry if you haven't played in years (or ever). Happy Hour: After the games I got us some food and drink discounts at Garvey's which is right down the road if anyone's interested. RSVP & Registration: Please RSVP on here each week so we know how many people will be there. Also, please register on the website (link below) because 1) I will use that to send out notifications and 2) I need everyone to "sign" a waiver which was necessary to reserve the courts. When you register on the site, it will ask you to pay $50. You can choose to pay that for unlimited games or select to "pay later" and just pay for individual games when you show up. Selecting that option won't affect your registration. But you need to be registered to get updates, notice of cancellations, and to sign the insurance waiver. http://www.crushsocialsports.com/leagues/volleyball-(sand)/661162
