What we're about

The purpose of this group is to bring together women (20's & 30's) interested in African and African-American culture for cultural events and experiences in NYC and beyond!!!

We'll meet up to attend cultural events, health & wellness events, art exhibits & museums, organize book clubs, network, volunteer, & visit pop up shops that center around African, African- American, and Caribbean culture.

I'll also plan 1-2 group travel experiences per year for anyone interested in traveling to different countries in Africa and other places in the diaspora that have a strong African or African-American influence (i.e. New Orleans, Brazil, the Caribbean and etc.).

This group will be free of negativity, pettiness, pretension, rudeness and gossip. We will use our time together to have fun, better ourselves, make genuine long lasting friendships, connect with our cultures and give back to our communities by supporting businesses in our communities (particularly black and women owned or led).

Feel free to check out my instagram @afroexperiencegirl to keep up with the types of events and trips I've attended and will plan for this group!
