What we're about

The purpose of this group is for getting together to play and learn afrocentric folkloric rhythms on a variety of percussive instruments (Congas, bongos, djembes, djun djun, etc.). This is a B.Y.O.D group (bring your own drum group). This group is also a good place to post upcoming/currently-happening events where hand percussion performances can be viewed and or performed.

Due to Covid: the event is on but social distancing guidelines must be observed.

Skill level: beginner to Advanced,

Rhythms: Afro caribbean and american rhythms (guaguanco, columbia, Jazz,
merengue etc.).

Instruments allowed:
Non-electrically-amplified
Afro-caribbean/afro-american percussive, acoustic, wind and/or brass instruments.
