Please use a picture showing your face. Some event hosts require it, and it is always helps to recognize people.

Yes.

Do you understand that these are social events for hikers, and you are responsible for your own safety at all times?

Yes.

Which types of events interest you: Short day hikes, long day hikes, weekend camping, backpacking, winter hiking, world travel, rock climbing, canyoneering, mountaineering, etc?

All of the above interest me! Particularly day hikes that are accessible from the city.

Do you have any hiking experience? If yes, where and what kind of trips? Please provide a brief description of length, duration and trail difficulty as this information helps us better plan events suitable for the group.

I joined a hiking meet up group when I lived in South Korea and did a lot of hiking there -- mostly day trips up to about a 12 hour hike. The most difficult hike I've ever done was Volcan Acatenango in Guatemala (13,000 ft).

Would you say you're a slow, intermediate, or fast hiker?

Intermediate.

Introduction

I'm Silja -- I moved to New York City this past November and can't wait to explore the surrounding area.
