Please use a picture showing your face. Some event hosts require it, and it is always helps to recognize people.

yes

Do you understand that these are social events for hikers, and you are responsible for your own safety at all times?

yes

Which types of events interest you: Short day hikes, long day hikes, weekend camping, backpacking, winter hiking, world travel, rock climbing, canyoneering, mountaineering, etc?

all -- well, world travel is unlikely to be feasible for me right now.

Do you have any hiking experience? If yes, where and what kind of trips? Please provide a brief description of length, duration and trail difficulty as this information helps us better plan events suitable for the group.

yes -- mostly day trips, one overnight in Alaska up a mountain, although the overnight was with a big group where other people knew well what they are doing. It had one very difficult patch over a very narrow ridge that was still snow-covered. I didn't much like that. I can do (or at least have done, I'm not in peak shape right now although hopefully I'll soon change that) four hours up a fairly steep climb at a brisk pace. I'm okay with scrambling. I have no outdoor climbing experience.

Would you say you're a slow, intermediate, or fast hiker?

intermediate
