Please use a picture showing your face. Some event hosts require it, and it is always helps to recognize people.

Do you understand that these are social events for hikers, and you are responsible for your own safety at all times?

Yes, and I am certified in First Aid.

Which types of events interest you: Short day hikes, long day hikes, weekend camping, backpacking, winter hiking, world travel, rock climbing, canyoneering, mountaineering, etc?

short day, long day, weekend camping, backpacking .

Do you have any hiking experience? If yes, where and what kind of trips? Please provide a brief description of length, duration and trail difficulty as this information helps us better plan events suitable for the group.

I do have hiking experience. I have gone hiking in the North Carolina mountains at Linville Gorge, and other national parks (easy to moderate). I also did overnight trips in the Canadian Rockies while doing field work in Alberta. (Most beautiful place I've ever seen) The longest we hiked was 15km. The trail was moderate difficulty. I go regularly to Harriman State Park to hike and backpack.

Would you say you're a slow, intermediate, or fast hiker?

I would say I'm intermediate, but in comparison to inexperienced hikers who don't know how to dress their feet (yes, I've been in this situation), I am very fast. ---and not so fast anymore due to knee injury. Getting back into it after about a year off.

I am Brooke and have been in the area for 3/5 years. I am The senior forester for Queens Forestry (NYC Parks). I love hiking with my dog, Noodle!
