Please use a picture showing your face. Some event hosts require it, and it is always helps to recognize people.

Yes.

Do you understand that these are social events for hikers, and you are responsible for your own safety at all times?

I don't understand the first half of the question. As I said above, I'm not very "experienced" or advanced, and I'm not sure what "social" means, but yes, I know I'm responsible for my own safety.

Which types of events interest you: Short day hikes, long day hikes, weekend camping, backpacking, winter hiking, world travel, rock climbing, canyoneering, mountaineering, etc?

Easy day hikes, weekend skiing trips.

Do you have any hiking experience? If yes, where and what kind of trips? Please provide a brief description of length, duration and trail difficulty as this information helps us better plan events suitable for the group.

Yes, hiking in New Jersey (see above), and long walks in Manhattan (3-4 miles).

Would you say you're a slow, intermediate, or fast hiker?

Slow.

Introduction

I am a beginning hiker: I recently hiked to the top of Ramapo Mountain (6 miles in 4 hours). I used to ski when I was younger and would love to take it up again, perhaps a weekend trip to somewhat local places, like in the Catskills.

What Tania is saying about this Meetup Group

Very well organized; lots of fun activities in addition to hiking.
