In the course of four meetups, we will discuss each of Dr. Smail's essential books. You can obtain these at low cost from Amazon, or I am pleased to provide a free copy of my author-approved abridgment. Either way, I am confident you will find this introduction both fascinating and amply rewarding.

In our SECOND meeting, we will consider that our very notion of happiness -- the satisfaction of endless, individual material wants -- may itself be a myth and in the service, primarily, of the interests of (corporate) power; and we'll explore the alternative, public happiness, derived from giving to others.
