NYC Writers Workshop Pages

The NYCWW is a group dedicated to helping aspiring writers (in whatever genre) improve their craft through constructive feedback from other like-minded individuals.

Our format is simple:
Bring your written material, a maximum of 6 double-spaced pages(one sided only) to the meeting.

Additional copies for others to follow along would be helpful.

The writer will read his work and then listen while the rest of the group provide criticism and feedback.

The author is NOT allowed to speak while feedback is being provided.

once the other members of the workshop have completed their critiques, the author then gets up to two minutes to answer any members questions about the work that was presented. (personal questions to the writer are not allowed).

New material is requested for each meeting.

Reading your material is not a requirement for attendance. If you do not have any material, that is fine.
