Anxiety and stress are normal part of life. In fact, we should never, ever attempt to eliminate them completely from our lives. But when the stress response (which can be triggered by thoughts, past traumas, stressful situations, etc.), is overstimulated, it induces physiological changes that may lead to long-term stress, anxiety, circulatory dis-ease, and other stress-related illnesses.
Blissful Mind is an exploration into the art of healing through yoga and meditation.
We'll begin the workshop with a brief discussion on ways you can individualize your practice to best suit your needs, as related to anxiety.
Then, we'll practice yogic tools and techniques such as mindful movement, breathing, restorative yoga, and a full Yoga Nidra* practice, all designed to elicit the relaxation response and bring balance to the body and mind.
