Have you recently moved to LA? Then you’re probably enjoying the sun, the palm trees, and the sweet sweet smell of opportunity. But that’s not the whole picture, is it. You’re also starting over in so many ways. A new job or looking for one, finding new friends, creating routines from scratch, and making LA your home.
Wouldn’t it be nice to meet new people while working on your personal goals? Making connections and networking while discussing cultural differences, personal and professional growth, and getting the best out of living in LA.
Meetings are a combination of group coaching and networking. We meet in local parks in West LA each weekend.
You're welcome to join if you feel new (or newish) in LA, you are interested in meeting new people, and working on our goals together.
UpHave you heard of cultural transition stress? Maybe you haven’t, but it is very probable that you’ve experienced it, or are experiencing it now.
It happens because moving to a new city or new country is tough: new routines, new job, finding friends, figuring out life from scratch. You’re coming from a different area, or a completely different culture. How do you acclimate in LA without abandoning who you used to be? How can you take the best of both cultures?
During the meetup we are going to talk about stages of cultural adaptation (and where we are), cultural transition stress, and what we miss in our lives and how we can get it in LA.
Group coaching will be the combination of individual work, giving everybody space to work on their private areas of life, but also giving the group the option to discuss common issues and topics.
After the coaching portion of the meeting, we will picnic and spend the rest of the time getting to know each other while unwinding on the grass.
Your first meeting is always free. If you like the format and want to continue, each next is $15 (paid via Venmo @KasiaJun)
