  • Update 2: Do's and don'ts of a Korean BBQ, study and observe :):

Update: The restaurant turns out to be closed on Mondays, so I have moved this Meetup now to Tuesday. I hope you can still make it, otherwise, please change your RSVP.

The Korean BBQ @Seoul Garden was recommended to me by one of my colleagues who has a Korean girlfriend. According to him it is a very authentic Korean restaurant, meaning plain interior but very good food. For the BBQ he paid approximately EUR 22, excluding drinks I guess. My knowledge of Korean food is close to zero, so all the more reason to give it a try. So come along with me and let's enjoy some Korean food!

Please note that this restaurant does not accept ATM cards, so please bring along some cash.

"Seoul Garden is a hidden gem located in a quiet alley right around the corner from the city's historic Plein. You can have the sizzling mouth-watering experience of the famous Korean BBQ right at your table! Our specialties include the popular Bulgogi (literally translated as "fire meat"), which is thinly-sliced marinated beef sirloin. We also offer marinated beef short ribs called Kalbi, spicy marinated pork or chicken, and jumbo shrimp in a delicious secret marinade.

As part of the traditional menu, all grilled entrees come with a Korean-style pancake, soup, fresh lettuce (for wrapping the meat), banchan (vegetable side dishes), and of course Kimchi and rice.

We only accept cash and credit cards, sorry no pinpas."

Hi all, further talking to my colleague led to the conclusion that you do not 'just eat' Korean BBQ. There are apparently many ways to do it wrong, so here is a YouTube movie with the do's and don'ts: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AuyptkdfYaE

Study it :D! And see you all in two weeks :).

Soek, I would really love to join but can only make it from 20.30... is that a problem? If so I will sign out.

Hey Audrey! Since it is a BBQ I assume we can just start and you can join in later any time, so no problem there! See you then!
