Bagijnestraat 8, Den Haag
Update 2: Do's and don'ts of a Korean BBQ, study and observe :):
Update: The restaurant turns out to be closed on Mondays, so I have moved this Meetup now to Tuesday. I hope you can still make it, otherwise, please change your RSVP.
The Korean BBQ @Seoul Garden was recommended to me by one of my colleagues who has a Korean girlfriend. According to him it is a very authentic Korean restaurant, meaning plain interior but very good food. For the BBQ he paid approximately EUR 22, excluding drinks I guess. My knowledge of Korean food is close to zero, so all the more reason to give it a try. So come along with me and let's enjoy some Korean food!
Please note that this restaurant does not accept ATM cards, so please bring along some cash.
"Seoul Garden is a hidden gem located in a quiet alley right around the corner from the city's historic Plein. You can have the sizzling mouth-watering experience of the famous Korean BBQ right at your table! Our specialties include the popular Bulgogi (literally translated as "fire meat"), which is thinly-sliced marinated beef sirloin. We also offer marinated beef short ribs called Kalbi, spicy marinated pork or chicken, and jumbo shrimp in a delicious secret marinade.
As part of the traditional menu, all grilled entrees come with a Korean-style pancake, soup, fresh lettuce (for wrapping the meat), banchan (vegetable side dishes), and of course Kimchi and rice.
We only accept cash and credit cards, sorry no pinpas."
