• What we'll do Have you always wanted to learn how to play Spades? Do you know a little, but need to get some practice to get better? Well, here is your chance! Come out to learn how to play Spades. We will go over the rules, the strategies and play some open hands to show how to apply it and then we will do some practice close hands. You will come from this lesson ready to Play with confidence. As of now, I have narrowed the location to a few places, but not certain. We will be ideally around the Tamarac area, close to University between Commercial and Atlantic. Any suggestions for location in the area is welcomed. I will post exact location a few days before event. • What to bring • Important to know
We had such an AWESOME time the last time we were here, why not do it again! It's Happy Hour Time! We are heading to Gulfstream Park! We love this place! There is so much to do. We will be heading to Rok Brgr. There Happy Hour is from 5pm-7pm, where it is 50% off of everything behind the bar! And there are some app specials too. Wooohoooo! We will have a reserved section for our group! I will post where you can find the group in the comments. For anyone new to do this venue, there is tons of parking. All free! Save the money from parking on your drinks! Look forward to kickin' it with you! -Minal[masked]
Butterfly World is celebrating its 31st Birthday! So they are offering extremely Reduced Tickets at $10.70 (regularly $30) If you have never been, it is definitely something you should experience at least once. I had gone over 15 years ago and it was very cool. My favorite part was walking through a sea of butterflies. It was amazing. My 2nd favorite is the Larakeet area where you can purchase nectar and have them eat it off your hands. This is an awesome place to experience, to photograph or just to relax. And since it is such a great place right now, it is also a great place for us to be kickin' it. Please note there is also a Park Entrance Fee of $1.50 for each person (not car) and there is no charge for parking.
So here's a new idea. Let's do an Afternoon tour of Las Olas! The idea is that we will start at Ann's Florist and Coffee Bar (think about the aromas in there), then we will walk to an antique shop, then head to Rocco's Taco's Happy Hour for a small bite and a drink (or 2) and then head to Louie Bossi's Happy Hour for a small bite and a drink. As we are making our designated stops, we will pass by many art stores and other interesting places. We can always take a few minutes to peak in. This will be a great afternoon for a stroll, to get to know people and to experience Las Olas a little more.
