- Introducing SAFe® - Special 2-Hour Meetup - For Charity
What is the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)? Doing and being agile at scale, any scale, can be challenging with even the best of teams and an engaged leadership. During this special two-hour Meetup, we will review the Introducing SAFe 4.6 presentation that helps promote the adoption and use of SAFe. This includes an overview of the business benefits that many enterprises have reported in SAFe Case Studies. There will be ample time for questions and answers and to share your your experiences scaling agile. Coffee, tea and biscuits will be served! Our discussion will be facilitated by Robert Palmer, SAFe SPC Consultant. In support of the Breast Cancer Foundation of New Zealand, we are requesting a $10.00 donation to attend this special 2-hour meetup - due to the constraints of the Meetup payment system, this is n Australian dollars (around $10.44NZ). All proceeds will be donated to this group. Thanks in advance!

Coffee, tea and biscuits will be served! - Is SAFe® really safe for my organization?
Is there an agile at scale framework that is right for you, your team and organization? The Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), Large-Scale Scrum (LeSS), Nexus, and Spotify are some of the most popular scaling frameworks out there today. But doing and being agile at scale, any scale, can be challenging with even the best of teams and an engaged leadership. During our Meetup, we will discuss the benefits and challenges of the most popular frameworks in New Zealand, and collaborate on building a checklist to make an informed decision on whether or not a scaled agile approach might be right for you and your organization, and whether or not your organization is culturally ready for this change. Be prepared by bringing your own stories and experiences from the trenches. Coffee, tea and biscuits will be served! Our discussion will be facilitated by Jake Creech (PayPal experience), John Allen (Boeing experience) and Robert Palmer (World Bank experience).

- Inclusive Collaboration - how our differences can make the difference
Personality quirks, character traits, mental diversity. Technology thrives on innovation and creativity, and therefore, our industry relies upon a wide variety of people who think, react, work, communicate, interact, and socialise differently. Most modern workplaces value collaboration, teamwork, interaction, and change, but for many people, some of the ways we work and the working environments that result present unique challenges on top of the day-to-day technical challenges of software development. In some cases, they can stifle the very creativity and innovative thinking we are trying to foster. In this talk, we'll explore how having a neurodiverse workforce can give you a competitive edge, and how the workplace can respect diverse needs and different requirements for interaction and collaboration to bring out the best in everyone's differences
