New Zealand’s Premier AI Event is on March 27th and 28th at the ASB Waterfront Theatre in Auckland To buy tickets visit ai-day.com 2019’s AI-DAY conference includes a stellar lineup of speakers and presenters who will be exploring the many ways that AI is advancing in today’s world, permeating more and more facet of our daily lives - and raising new challenges for how New Zealanders should adapt in the face of such rapid change. AI-DAY 2018 was attended by 500 people hearing from international experts and local trailblazers how AI is impacting business, people and society. In the last 12 months the proliferation of AI has become visible in every aspect of society around the world and across New Zealand. Conversational AI and Personal Assistants have been in the media weekly. Companies like Targetbase have rewritten their marketing platform using Microsoft Azure and the Cortana Intelligence Suite and Microsoft Azure analytics. And New Zealand company FaceMe has not just shown us the future of Digital Assistants but made it accessible to leading consumer brands around the world. Corporate adoption of AI and Machine Learning is increasingly wide spread across New Zealand. There are countless case stories and examples for New Zealand’s C-Suite to draw inspiration from. From computer vision in health and safety, cancer detection and pest eradication to machine learning and better Customer Insights, streamlining business processes in legal and accounting firms and conversational AI answering important questions at home and work. Meanwhile, Data and Privacy concerns are at the forefront of our minds as countries like China roll out AI-driven citizen surveillance, GDPR regulations take effect in Europe (with global implications) and devices listen and record every moment of our lives. AI-DAY 2019 We’re back at the beautiful ASB Waterfront Theater for a multi-day conference showcasing local and International innovation and thought leadership in Artificial Intelligence, and its impact on people and society. The Wednesday evening kicks off with the AI Forum meetup and short talks from their working groups. The Conference starts with the Wednesday evening session including a keynote from Aware Groups Brandon Hutcheson, and the Conversational AI and Digital Assistants Panel. Thursday is a full day in the ASB Waterfront Theater with 4 keynotes, Showcase talks and the Data Privacy and AI Panel Discussion. You’ll hear from Pia Andrews - Executive Director of Digital Government at NSW Department of Finance, Services and Innovation, Professor Jingyi Yu and Associate Dean of the School of Information Science and Technology at the ShanghaiTech University. Venky Veeraraghavan - Azure Machine Learning platform Group Program Manager at Microsoft and Kallol Dutta - Tribe Lead for Data and Enterprise Automation at Spark to name a few. Our closing International Keynote is San Francisco based Kiwi and CEO of Primer.AI - Sean Gourley Primer.AI builds machines that can read and write, automating the analysis of very large datasets. Previously, Sean was CTO of Quid, an augmented-intelligence company he co-founded in 2009. Prior to Quid, Gourley worked on self-repairing nano-circuits at NASA Ames. He holds a PhD in physics from Oxford, where his research as a Rhodes Scholar focused on complex systems and the mathematical patterns underlying modern war.
