Seventh Supper Club: Holiday Cookie Party!

  • This location is shown only to members

  • Who can say no to a cookie, especially around the holidays? Considering that the answer to this is probably nobody, it seemed only right that, for our December meetup, we turn our attention to something sweet. While there are some very fine books devoted to cookies out there--Cookie Love, the soon-to-be released Dorie's Cookies, Martha Stewart's Cookies, The Gourmet Cookie Book--I suggest that we each bring a few dozen of our favorite cookie (whether the recipe hails from a book or is a family recipe makes no difference) to share. You could even use this meetup as an opportunity to try a cookie recipe you've been wanting to make for a while now. At the end of the night, depending on what is left, we could mix and match and take some cookies home. Since this will be our final meetup of the year, I was also thinking we could have some egg nog, hot toddies or mulled wine. We will, after all, need something to drink alongside our cookies.

If you RSVP yes, please let the group know which cookie you will be bringing in the discussion section.

Mea Copa, I have to change my rsvp to no as my family has planned a major Christmas event. I was so looking forward to it. Bummer. B

Not sure yet but it will definitely involve chocolate (and it will NOT be chocolate chip!)

Nothing wrong with chocolate chip, but I am easily excited about anything chocolate. :)

I am not sure what cookies I will bring. Perhaps linzer, butter, and a few others. I will look through my recipes and follow up. This will be my first time attending. Looking forward to this.
