Newark Makers Meetup 4/14 6:00 pm at the Newark Museum (Update for speakers #2)

If you want to create a viable business from your Maker passion, this is the meeting for you. In leading up to the Newark Mini Maker Faire, we will hold our next meetup on April 14th at 6 PM at the Newark Museum located on 49 Washington St, Newark, NJ. We will be introducing a new live/work project planned for Newark called Makerhoods which will offer you affordable living and working space. We will also have speakers discussing online marketing and micro loans for makers so you can truly get your maker business off the ground. Finally, we will tour the soon-to-be opened Makerspace at the Newark Museum.

On the micro loan front, we are happy to host Mr. Juan Castello, Loan Consultant for Accion, one of the leading non-profit lending institutions in the US. In his role, he supports business owners with financial education and access to capital. He will share with us case studies of small business owners and their key to a successful loan application.
