This is a reminder that volunteer operations at the Regional Food Bank are going digital. Before your group comes for your volunteer appointment on Wednesday, May 15 from 6 – 8 pm, all adult members of your group will need to set up a volunteer profile and register for the shift.
It is very important that all volunteers in your group over the age of 18 complete this process. Volunteers who haven’t registered may experience a significant wait time before they’re able to start working. (Volunteers under 18 do not need to register unless they want an accurate record of their service hours, but they must have a signed Parental Consent Form (http://www.regionalfoodbank.org/assets/ParentGuardian%20Permission%20Form.pdf).)
Volunteers can create their volunteer profile here (http://www.regionalfoodbank.org/cervis.php?a=volunteer), but they will also need to register for the shift using your group’s reservation code: DISCOVEROKC (see step-by-step directions below).
You will pass through 6 screens in order to complete the registration process. You’ll know you’re finished when you get the following message:
Make sure you comlpete the entire registration process by following these directions:
1. Complete your Volunteer Profile here (http://www.regionalfoodbank.org/cervis.php?a=volunteer).
2. Click Register/Unregister for an Event
3. Enter “DISCOVEROKC” (not case sensitive) in the Event Registration Code box
4. Click the bubble next to the shift and select “Register for selected event
After you’ve registered for the shift you’ll receive a confirmation email with all the details.
Please forward this information, along with your registration code to all adult members of your volunteer group.
We truly appreciate your help and patience with this process. We’re lucky to have so much community support, and this software will be an important tool in improving our ability to involve volunteers in the process of fighting hunger in Oklahoma. Thanks for seeing us through our growing pains. J
Please let me know if you have any questions.
