If you want to go further in your mindfulness practice than listening to Headspace when you are stressed, don't want to be part of a weird seance and are not necessarily looking to become a Buddhist but think the Dalai Lama, Jon Kabat-Zinn and others seem to be on to something about living a meaningful life, this group is for you.
I (William Jackson PsyD) have been leading mindfulness groups for the last 10 or 15 years. I was an actor, then Buddhist Monk and now a clinical health psychologist, researcher and meditation teacher. Although it is unlikely anyone will be singing show tunes we have a good amount of fun, honest meaningful discussion and get down to practicing at least 30min of meditation per meeting.
It goes like this:
Check in for 5ish min
30min (half guided) meditation
Discussion on a particular relevant topic / Sometimes a group exercise.
General lingering/friendship making/networking
