Napoleon à Golfe Juan

"Napoleon á Golfe Juan" is a historical re-enactment of the Napoleon's landing on the beaches of Golfe Juan, the 1st of March 1815, after his exile on the Isola d'Elba (Italy).

This event will take place again this year (after one year of stop) the 23th-24th of March.

Here the official schedule is finally published, here : http://www.vallauris-golfe-juan... .

I've seen this event two years ago and the re-enactment is really well done ! I found it very interesting ! There are hundreds of people dressed up with original soldier uniforms, everything is accurately reproduced as it was the 1815. They reproduce the war (with original guns, rifles and cannons) and there are also exhibitions and other activities related to that historical day. Obviously, there's also Napoleon coming with the boat and landing on the beach :D

It's really worth seeing.
Why not shooting there ? :D

As you can see, it's a two days event, but I suggest you to come to Golfe Juan on Saturday because I see there are going to be a lot of interesting things (Spectacle de cavalerie, simulation de bataille).

Hey everyone! If anyone wants to join or find each other, my number is[masked] 15. A bientot!

    Hi everybody
I dont know too much about Golfe Juan, but as I can read, Alessandro tells that the beach is only 1 minutes walk from the train station I suggest we take the trainstation as a meeting point at 2:30pm and then we go to the beach from there.

Thank heavens for a RV time that suits night owls for a change - getting up at 7 am for 8 am starts is not my idea of how to get a day off to a good start :-)

Excite! Is the 2:30 meet up at the beach or beforehand in Nice? Taking the bus? Just curious...

Hi Inga, I live in front of that beach so I will wait for you here :) The beach is 1 min walking from the train station, so I strongly suggest the train to all of you.

This sounds great, I would love to join. How are people getting to the beach? Is there some sort of public transportation available? Are we meeting in Nice first and then at the Beach or the beach at 2:30, let me know!

Hi everyone, the official schedule is finally published, here : http://www.vallauris-golfe-juan.fr/IMG/pdf/programme-5.pdf . As you can see, it's a two days event, but I suggest you to come to Golfe Juan on Saturday because I see there are going to be a lot of interesting things (Spectacle de cavalerie, simulation de bataille)

I suggest you to bring a zoom lens if you have one, because the beach is closed to the public so everything will take place some meters from you.

And if you want to take some portraits of Napoleon, you cannot miss the event on Sunday afternoon (I will be there too).
