What we're about
The Nichiren Buddhist Sangha in Oakland is a Buddhist practice and discussion group led by Rev. Ryuei McCormick (who is a teacher in the Nichiren Shu lineage of Buddhism from Japan). These meetings are intended to introduce anyone interested to the practice of Buddhist chanting and meditation as well as to discussing key Buddhist insights and values and how to apply them to our own lives.

Our Discussions are focused on the Threefold Lotus Sutra and the writings of Nichiren Shonin, the founder of Nichiren Shu.
