Webcasting and Video Streaming Monthly Workshop

Meeting Canceled - We'll talk over new technologies, show you how easy it can be to do a basic video stream, how to encode it on a Website page, and how you can make money doing it... If you RSVP early and let me know what you'd like to see at our next meeting, I'll set it up.

I'm meeting a lot of very interesting people in the industry that have offered to come and talk to us, but I can't invite them if we don't have enough members at the meetings.. Help keep our small, friendly and informative group going and please MeetUp...

Here is a suggestion for something right on topic:
A viseo "switcher" and "remote truck" on a computer fro streaming remotes.
    http://www.telestream.net/wirecast/overview.htm
There is a demo version to download.

Wirecast works quite well for those that don't already have a switcher (I have an older version.) Their $500 software (for Mac or Wimpdows) will do a basic job of encoding to three formats and takes multi camera and audio inputs (you'll need a way to interface them) which you then need a service to stream your 'show'. There are some free options, such as UStream and LiveStream - Make sure you read their terms of service as they can use 'your' video for 'their' own use.... I use http://Vazzt.com that gives you free live streaming software (only works on Wimpdows), but you still need a way to interface your camera(s) and audio to the computer.
