Screw Retirement, Achieve Financial Independence Instead!
Does the thought of working for 30-40 years only to retire to a rocking chair when you are old and grey make you sick? It sure does to us! Wouldn't you rather work hard for 10-20 years and then have the freedom and flexibility to do whatever you want in your life while you are still young and healthy? Maybe that is starting a business, travelling the world or working part-time in a field that you really enjoy! That is Financial Independence! Join us to learn about the basics of the Financial Independence / Retire Early (FIRE) movement, along with some actionable strategies and tips you can implement right now to set a course for achieving Financial Independence in your own life! As always, the second half of the meetup will be for free wheeling discussions and Q&A on all things personal finance!

    What we're about

Do you feel overwhelmed by your financial situation? Know you need to make some changes but don’t know where to start or afraid of being judged when you ask for help? Just looking to learn a little bit more about money in a laid back atmosphere?

Join Calgary based Financial Rebel Kevin Langman and Financial Innovator Russ Dyck of Finovo on the third Thursday of each month to break down the walls and myths around money and help you achieve your dreams.

At our monthly meetups we create a laid back and non-judgemental atmosphere to talk about money while delivering useful and actionable advice. And don’t worry, there will be no selling here!

Our goal is to create a community of Financial Freedom Fighters here in Calgary that are knocking down walls and breaking taboos when it comes to money so we can all have more adventurous and happy lives!
    Monthly Topics will Include:

    • Investing basics (It doesn’t have to be hard!)

    • Simplified budgeting and spending tracking

    • Strategies for spending less on things that don’t matter and more on things that do

    • Making insurance make sense

    • Uncovering your limiting beliefs around money

    • Breaking those bad financial habits that are holding you back

    • Maximizing the value of employer benefits programs

    • Renting vs. Buying. What makes sense for you?

    • Many more!

Although we will have a set topic for each meetup, there will be lots of time for free for all discussion and Q&A as well.

Come join us for a Pint or a Latte at a local brewery or cafe and set your finances free!
