What we're about

We love trying interesting beer, especially on tap, so we order a new keg every few weeks. I'm not talking the boring stuff, and I'm not talking the stuff only a beer geek would love. I'm talking about the kind of delicious exciting beer you rarely or never see on tap. I'm talking about beer like Hitachino Nest White Ale (often called the best witbier in the world), Chimay Doree Gold (previously available only to the monks who brew it), and Saison Duponte (just plain beautiful). We also do tastings by the bottle and pairings with food, to cover more than just what we can get in kegs. Our events are pretty casual, and attendees get to nominate beers for future events.

Needs a date and time

The Other Door

I kid you not, this beer is why I founded our little club. Hitachino Nest White Ale, the beer with the famous Japanese owl logo, is hands down one of the best beers in the world, and certainly the best wit I've ever tasted. In tastings against everything from Blue Moon on the mass market end of the spectrum, to Avery White Rascal in the craftier middle, to Allagash White on the world class end, Hitachino simply crushes all competitors. And yet, I have NEVER TASTED IT ON DRAFT or met anyone who has, because the kegs are so goddamn expensive. So as soon as we have enough RSVPs to this meetup, we'll set up a cool event with accompanying food, and I'll order a keg we can share in style...
