You understand that there is one, and only one, requirement for membership: You must not now have, nor ever have had, children. Is this true in your case?

Yup. I was married for seven years and was 35 when my husband died. We never had kids but never ruled it out, although I'm guessing that we wouldn't have had them. I like other people's kids, including my nieces and nephews, but find the 'married with kids' aspect of St. Louis a little stifling; it just seems impossible to make new friends. Maybe this group will help!

What sort of activities appeal to you?

All sorts of stuff: low-key stuff like readings, more active things like hikes, neighborhood walks, street fairs, beer and wine tasting and much more.

I'm an employment lawyer and law professor who moved back to St. Louis 2 years ago to take care of my 85-year old Mom. I have lived in NY, Chicago, DC, Japan and Cleveland - find St. Louis is a very tough place for those who are not married w kids.
