New Mixed Level Hoopdance Classes Sundays @ Herndon Community Center

Location image of event venue

A new session of classes begins Sunday, September 13 at 11 a.m. at Herndon Community Center. This will be a mixed level class and good for those looking to further their skills, start fresh from beginner or just want to commit to regular practice, brush up on skills and are looking to spend time with more local hoopers.

The set of 12 one-hour classes are $74 for town of Herndon residents and $99 for non-Herndon residents. There is no drop-in availability unless previously arranged with the instructor.

You can sign up in person at the Herndon Community Center (814 Ferndale Ave., Herndon), or sign up online here: . Online signup requires you to create an account, then it takes about 24 hours for account approval before you can sign in to register, so if you'd like to register online I'd recommend doing it at least four to five days prior to the start of class. If enrollment is too low the class may be canceled, so if you're sure you want to take it, please sign up as soon as you're able to.

Here’s the class description and number so you can find it easier in the system:

Hoop Dance Age 13 & Up
Using the hoop on the waist, legs, arms, hands, hips and more burns between[masked] calories an hour, and provides a great full-body workout while encouraging creative movement and expression. Hoops are always provided in class, but you can bring your own adult-sized hoop or purchase one from the instructor if you'd like to have your own to be able to practice at home.

• September 13 - December 13, Sundays from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. (no class 10/11, 11/26 or 12/06)
