Re: [chinese-294] Remind to participants of the Tue 10/14 Mandarin conversation meeting

Hi Allan,

I just uploaded an audio file to our meetup page. Here is the link:
http://chinese.me...

You will have to be signed into meetup.com in order to see the file because
it is for members only. The file is the first segment of the Chinese classic
"Xi You Ji" as told to children. Perhaps you can listen to it and see if it
is appropriate for our group. People who's Chinese level is lower will
probably only benefit form using this audio file if they do some work on
their own.

Intermediate students could listen to the audio several times, look up some
new vocabulary and prepare some questions for the teachers. Also, they could
look up an English version of the story (link:
http://www.china-...) and read that to help them
in deciphering the Chinese version.

Advanced students will probably just be able to enjoy listening to the
recording and can also increase their vocabulary somewhat.

Anyway, this is just an idea. Maybe an easier podcast would work better for
everyone with their busy schedules. I'll keep looking for some other
resources.

Alaric
