Where do you start? There are so many libraries and frameworks in the JS world. How do you know what to learn? This discussion is for the beginners who haven't done anything with JS but want to get into this world and explore what it has to offer.

In this talk, Amir Sahib will be giving a high level overview of the current state of JavaScript in the development world, showcasing all the various ways JS is used to program different type of applications and hardware.

About the Speaker:

Amir Sahib ( is the Chief Technology Officer at Fifth Tribe, a digital marketing and technology firm based out of Vienna, VA. Upon graduating from Stony Brook University, Amir began his professional career working as a front end developer at Sabre Hospitality Solutions in Bethesda with a special focus on responsive web development practices and techniques. In his last year there, he joined an innovation cell working on mobile web application development and internal frameworks. Looking for new opportunities and challenges, he joined Fifth Tribe as a senior front end developer and began working on projects using Ember JS, Angular JS, and Node JS across industries including the financial, healthcare, public, and NGO sectors. Amir currently serves as the CTO of Fifth Tribe where he leads client accounts, manages innovation projects, and organizes hackathons. Amir is an avid JavaScript enthusiast and enjoys mentoring learning and teaching the latest frameworks. [masked]
