Working from home can often be isolating, distracting, and lonely. Coffee shops offer the ability to leave the home and be surrounded by people, but the never ending quest for available outlets and guilt that ensues after camping out for 8 hours while only purchasing one cup of coffee can often be more stressful than productive.
There is a happy medium for you nomads that provides a sustainable solution to your work. It's called coworking. Coworking is independent activity in a shared space. New Leaf Initiative, a State College coworking hub, operates a 2,600 sqft office space out of the Municipal Building on 243 South Allen Street, in the heart of downtown.
