He has been developing in virtual reality for over five years and has experience with desktop and mobile VR including eye tracking. Cory will explain how eye tracking works with the new Vive Pro Eye and how to do Foveated Rendering with Nvidia VRS (Variable Rate Shading). Cory will review features of the Vive Pro Eye, getting started developing eye tracking, and Dynamic Foveated Rendering with NVIDIA VRS. Pierre-Yves Laffont - Lemnis Technologies Pierre-Yves is the Co-founder and CEO of Lemnis Technologies, a company tackling sensory conflicts that cause negative side effects, including dizziness, nausea, and eye strain in VR. After two years of development, the computer vision scientists and engineers at Lemnis Technologies have developed an accurate eye tracker which is calibrated only once per user. This significantly lowers the barrier of entry to eye tracking in a professional setting, with no recalibration needed when repositioning the headset or after taking it off. Daniel Beeler - SyncThink Dan joined SyncThink in 2010 and serves as CTO. His background is in Astrophysics and was recruited into SyncThink for expertise in image analysis. Dan is an inventor on three eye tracking patents. He led the technology development and regulatory effort for EYE-SYNC, SyncThink's first medical device. Dan has worked closely with Dr. Jam Ghajar, Stanford University, and the Brain Trauma Foundation to deliver their clinical innovations to users in need. The SyncThink platform is a VR based eye tracking system that can assess brain health and improve visual performance. The platform provides a battery of assessments that can be used to rapidly detect visual impairments occurring with the ocularmotor and oculo-vestibular systems. DEMOS Cognitive3D will demo eye-tracking data captured from the Vive Pro Eye, including gaze data and fixations on their 3D data visualization tool, SceneExplorer. Additional tools for aggregate object engagement will be demonstrated. They will explore how using smooth pursuit in 3D engines has enabled accurate object engagement data. Use cases will include market research as well as training and simulation.

He drives the creation of compelling and engaging experiences across all aspects of creation and the new technology needed to get there. Specifically, Ewan is focused on our continuing development of HoloSuite, the only capture agnostic post-production platform designed specifically for the editing and playback of the volumetric video. Ewan applies his extensive experience as a digital cinematographer to the creation of AR/VR worlds. Starting with Toy Story, he formed and designed Pixar's cinematography department. He led creative on the cinematography for A Bug's Life, Monster's Inc., Toy Story 2 and a slew of other Pixar films. He joined Dreamworks Animation in a similar capacity for the Madagascar films, How to Train your Dragon and others. Throughout his career, he has been responsible for both creative design and pipeline development. Steve Sullivan is currently GM for the Mixed Reality Capture Studios at Microsoft. Based in San Francisco, with partner stages in Los Angeles and London, the studios create a volumetric video of real people and performances for immersive headsets, mobile AR, and traditional 2D experiences. Prior to joining Microsoft, Steve was Senior Technology Officer for ILM/Lucasfilm. He led R&D across the Lucas Divisions, advancing the state of the art in content creation tech for film, TV, and games. He contributed to over 70 films and received three Academy Awards for Technology. He is a member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences and recently served 6 years on the Academy's Science and Technology Council. He received a Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, with an emphasis on multi-view reconstructions. Michelle Excell is the lead consultant and founder of the Antipodean Collective, a hybrid consultancy, and production company. On the consulting side, Michelle and specialist partners advise brands and agencies on how to navigate new technology landscapes and build strong ‘innovation roadmaps’. On the production side, The Antipodean brings together a collective of the world’s leading innovation and experiential production partners specializing in AR, VR, IOT and creative services. Prior to working at Google, she was a Design Lead at IDEO, where she did everything from prototype a virtual reality physical therapy experience to launch a company that helps the working poor improve access to job opportunities. Kelly has also worked at African Leadership Academy, Bain & Company, and started two companies. She graduated from UPenn and Harvard Business School. Joanna Kim Joanna Kim is the Product Manager for Google's geo-based virtual reality apps, Google Earth VR and Street View VR. Prior to Daydream, she served as a Product Manager at Google Fiber where she worked to bring gigabit speed Internet to the masses. Outside of Google Joanna started a social venture called Bamboo Lota that worked to alleviate deforestation and create sustainable livelihoods for rural Malawians. She graduated from UC Berkeley with a BA in Interdisciplinary Studies, focusing on International Human Rights. Dan Miller Dan Miller is an AR / VR evangelist at Unity Technologies. He has been working in game development for several years as a developer with a recent focus in VR. He's excited to help others explore the forefront of new and emergent technologies and the many unique opportunities they present. Nathan Rowe Nathan Rowe is the founder of SculptrVR, a company working to build the best sculpting experience on every VR platform. Nathan's educational background is in pure mathematics, and he's spent the better part of the last decade building computational 3D software. Harold Dumur Harold Dumur is co-founder and CEO of OvaX, which produces AR and VR products and content through their StellarX platform. StellarX enables the creation of virtual immersive environments by integrating 3D virtual and augmented reality animations and simulations into an inspiring immersive environment.
