Thanks to John Marcogliese for the great questions and moderation for the June book club discussion of "The Uses and Abuses of History" by Margaret Macmillan. We had a very interesting and enjoyable evening -- at least that's MY version of the event. Thanks to Sindi Sabourin for arranging the venue.
For July and August, we'll continue to meet at the Fox and Fiddle on Bloor St. near St. George Station. For members who joined recently, I'll repeat that starting in September, our club will be sponsored by the Toronto Reference Library. We'll be meeting there from September through next June. The Beeton auditorium has been reserved for us on the following evenings.
Tues. Oct. 30 Beeton West
Thurs. Nov. 22
Wed. Feb. 27
Wed. Mar. 27
Thurs. Apr. 25
Wed, May 22
Wed., June 26
Speak to me at the next meeting if you'd like to volunteer to moderate.
The poll for the August book is up. Please vote if you think you'll attend. There's also another poll on attendance that I'd ask you to fill out if you haven't been attending. If the reasons shown don't reflect your situation please feel free to contact me off-list.
Our next book is Crash Proof 2.0 on July 24. See you then!
