RE: How to set up a Book Club with the Toronto Public Library

From: user 5.

I promised you that I would let you know how to set up a Book Club with the Toronto Public Library:

About Book Club Sets

·           A set consists of up to 15 copies for use by book clubs and book discussion groups

·           The books can be borrowed by any book club and signed out by individual members or by one designated person

·           They may be booked in advance by phone or in person – not online

·           The loan period is 6 weeks

·           For a complete list of titles ask staff, phone one of the libraries below or look on the TPL website

Book Club sets are available at the following library branches.  Each set may be booked, picked up and returned at any of the five branches that have Book Club Sets.

This is the snag: the branches are : (all are 416)

It turns out not to be quite as easy as I had thought unless one member might live close to one of these? I hope this is useful. Ann Garnett

PS Also are you aware that there is a Virtual Book Club for people who don’t have time to attend a book club: http://bookbuzz.torontopubliclibrary.ca
