In general, we all think we write pretty well; however, the world of spell-check, texting, emails, and autocorrect has blurred the rules of writing. It is hard to spot typographical and grammatical mistakes.
We have reports, marketing materials, client information sheets, grants, manuscripts, manuals, books, and other documents we want to ensure have no errors. We all want to produce a polished product, but hiring an outside editor may be out of the budget. This workshop is for the professional who cannot remember where to put commas and, perhaps more importantly, where not to place them. It is for the writer who cannot seem to cut down on wordiness, who is not sure when and where not to capitalize president or director, or who overuses adjectives and adverbs.
So, if you write, “Come join us on November 19th,” and you do not see that that statement has an error, please join us on the 19th of November for this workshop.
