This is the first leg of the three leg Boudicca Way long distance trail that I am leading over the next few months. This is a linear walk so we will need to meet at the end and shuttle everyone and some cars to the start and then at the end drive people back to their cars again. Can you please let me know if you are bringing a car as the walk is dependent on having enough to shuttle people to the start. I hope that we can work out the logistics between us!
We will meet here https://goo.gl/maps/toRxqxKxiMH2 at the junction of Valley Road and Church Road in Tasburgh (there is a post box near there). There is no designated parking so I suggest you park where you can in the surrounding streets, the roads are wider here and will be able to accommodate a few cars. Sorry no public toilets here. If you need a last minute stop on the way to the start I suggest you pop in to Asda on the corner of Hall Road and Sandy Lane in Norwich. We will all pile into as few cars as possible leaving the rest at Tasburgh, and drive to the carpark at Venta Icenorum / Caistor Roman Town, Stoke Road, Caistor St Edmund https://goo.gl/maps/m6tqaKeWVnt , http://www.norfarchtrust.org.uk/caistor. The best route to Caistor I found is A140, Hall Road, Sandy Lane, Stoke Road. At the end of the walk then we will take those drivers back to their cars at Caistor. I have only done a short part of this walk before so I am looking forward to seeing parts of Norfolk I haven't seen before. The trail is well sign posted but we will have a bit of a variation at the beginning through the permitted footpaths of High Ash Farm http://www.highashfarm.com/ then through Upper Stoke, Shotesham, Saxlingham Green past Saxlingham Nethergate and then across the A140 around Tasburgh. Please make sure you bring enough food and drink for the day and wet weather gear.
