Come and enjoy the beauty of the Broads with us. This 7 mile walk takes you from the beautiful village of Reedham along the river Yare to sweet Cantley famous for its sugar factory and back trough a bit different way. This pleasant circular river walk offers amazing views due to very flat terrain, perfect for nature lovers an amazing opportunity to see birds that love this area.
Walk is good for beginners and experienced walkers alike with leisure pace, terrain is very flat but might prove muddy and wet so make sure you have proper footwear. Also be prepared for rain and wind as spring weather can be quite unpredictable. Rain jacket/poncho in your backpack is always a good idea. Also bring some snacks and drinks for yourself as we will do a short stop or two along the way for some food. We can also visit The Lord Nelson pub at the end of walk to reward ourselves with a pint :)
Free parking available next to the holiday cottages: 54 Riverside, Reedham, NR13 3TE , we'll meet at the same street in front of The Lord Nelson Pub
Walks pace will be about 3 mph but the pace will be adjusted to the group if needed, nobody will be left behind! Walk should finish at about 1 p.m.
Walk has been recc'd.
Friendly dogs welcome (leash is advisable as there will be plenty of fowl around and footpath leads close to the river with steep banks).
See you there !
